Memoirs of TEP

Besides TEP attachment in school, there is also the Events Management and Roadshows (EMRS). That is where students would be attached for 10 weeks, to learn how to conduct and manage roadshows and events. Students take part in the planning of the roadshow to executing it and running the whole roadshow as a team.

Students have different groups in the EMRS where they are in charge of different resposibilties. There will be a group maintaining the administrative work while the three other groups would take turn to be in charge of a roadshow. The appointed leader of the roadshow would have to lead the different teams in helping out.

For instance, previous semesters students have already conducted John little roadshows, Cheers roadshows, Blogshop fleas and etc. Students would have the experience of contacting suppliers and organising the whole event in order for it to be a success.

Besides having events and roadshows in school, the EMRS team has also been out of school to do community work to help the elderly. Instead of planning a business roadshow, students plan events on how to organise an event to suit the elders and to source for suitable gifts for them. Students came up with interactive activities with the elderlies such as singing songs for them, feeding them lunch and chatting with them.

At the end of the 10 week attachment, a report must also be submitted for grading assessment. It is a very beneficial stopover in school because you don't only learn what is in the notes, but also to experience it yourselves.
